Day 1 of waiting

Today we had a great visit with Max. His caretaker was so much easier to deal with. I suppose because of the court hearing yesterday. He ran to me today yelling mama! Today he kept calling Cliff papa. It was soooo cute. We got to spend about 3 hours with him. We played outside on the playground. I got to see a little bit more of his room.

Michael- the kids were so excited about the toys I brought from you and Trisha. The caretaker let us watch the them play with them. She said it was such a treat for them and they don't get much of those. The kids were so sweet. Max showed me his locker and his stuff in there.

We don't get to go back and visit until Wed due to the Russia Independence Day. We are getting a little stir crazy in the hotel. We plan on venturing out with Chad and Jenena tomorrow.

Let us know what's going on at home. Feel free to call.

LISSI AND CLIFF,

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

i'm sorry i didn't write you yesterday (i have been reading your blog everyday) but i have been sick with the flu. i know going in front of the judge was worse that any labor pain could be. my only advice is next time ask for an epideral. have fun with max and we can't wait to see him.

Sounds like you had a great day with Max. It must melt you everytime he calls you Mama and Papa--so sweet!! You are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. Congratulations again! See you Tuesday!

PS What toys did you give to the kids?

it's so awesome that you get to see his room and some of the baby house. i wish you didn't have to wait until wednesday to see him, but try to get as much footage of the city as you can.

Great news - Adriene Fleming gave us your blog link in her blog. we are waiting for second trip to Vlad to pick up our almost 4 year-old Victor. Our first trip was in late April so we hope to return in August.

Say hello to Irina and Lana for us.

We never created a blog before but it seems the best way to communicayte with our friends and family so we just set one up!

I planned to make the trip Thursday to see the dogs-my mother made a visit to town so my plans were postponed 1 day-
Last night Beau, Rufus and I went and hung out with Boss, Logan, Bobby, Lavelle et.al.-they had a wonderful time playing and Boss and Logan never seemed happier!

Logan is keeping an eye on the Elks Lodge-so her day is pretty full.

We plan to make the trek south for a visit each Friday.

It is summer hot and humid here-and school finished up this week in SC so the roads are crowded.

Isn't it fate that Cliff will be there for fathers day!!

Send pictures....!!

Just tuning in. We are adopting from Vlad too, but we have had LOTS of delays. We traveled for trip 1 last August and stayed at the Vlad Inn too. Glad to see that you have been to court and just waiting out the 10 days.

From Russia with Love! How appropriate that phrase sounds for the three of you! The love shines in all those photos that you all have, Max sure seems to be demonstrating that quickly with Cliff as he has with you in the past and now current OFFICIAL MOMMA visit Lissi. So, cant't wait till the 3 of you bring all that Love home; From Russia With Love! Ed & Claire

Just getting caugh up on your blog. It's a shame that you can't take Max out on this Independence Day. I mean, geez, Max is your son. Is his hair starting to grow in where they whacked it? Can you post a pic of Max?

Hugs, Jackie
